Tyee Park Families,
As the holiday season approaches, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our Tyee Park Elementary community. Your support, involvement, and encouragement are what make our school such a special place for students to grow and thrive. Thank you for being a vital part of our school family!
December is always a joyful and busy time, and we are excited to share several special events with you and/or your students:
- December 3: Character Trait of the Month Assembly
We will recognize students who have demonstrated this month’s featured character trait, responsibility, and celebrate their contributions to our school community.
- December 5: 3rd Grade Field Trip
Our 3rd grade students will be heading to Point Defiance Zoo for a fun and engaging field trip!
- December 5-6: Science on Wheels (students only)
The Pacific Science Center will be on site to provide students with an engaging day of workshops and exhibits. Students will also participate in an assembly on the topic of engineering.
- December 7: Lakewood Holiday Parade
Tyee Park will participate in the Lakewood Holiday Parade. Please join us for this event! We will meet at 4:00pm to line up with our school, with the parade beginning at 4:30pm.
- December 12: Holiday Concert at 1:30pm
Our talented students are hard at work preparing for this special performance. Families are invited to join us for an afternoon of music and celebration of the season!
- December 16–20: Spirit Week
This is one of our favorite traditions! Students will have the opportunity to participate in themed dress-up days throughout the week. A detailed schedule will be sent home soon.
As we enjoy these festivities, I encourage us all to reflect on the spirit of the season—one of kindness, generosity, and community. Our shared commitment to these values is what makes Tyee Park such a wonderful place for our students.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education and for your involvement in our school community. On behalf of the entire Tyee Park staff, I wish you a holiday season filled with joy, peace, and cherished memories.
